About HanSound Ensemble
Our Mission
At HanSound Ensemble, our mission is to blend the beauty of traditional Korean music with the dynamic energy of contemporary sounds, creating a rich and meaningful musical experience that resonates across cultures and generations.
The word Han holds profound meaning in Korean — it signifies both One and Korean, reflecting our dual commitment to unity and cultural identity. Combined with Sound, our name represents a singular voice that honors Korean heritage while embracing new musical possibilities.
Through innovative arrangements and heartfelt performances, we preserve the spirit of Korean music while reimagining it for today’s world. Our sound invites all listeners to experience the beauty of cultural harmony through music.

Dr. Soo Eun Lee
Director & Conductor
- Bachelor of Arts, Chongshin University (South Korea)
- Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Conducting, University of Washington, USA
- Currently serving as Conductor of the Ulsan Presbyterian Choir (South Korea)
- Former Conductor, Music Arranger, and Composer for the Busan Gayageum Orchestra
- Dr. Lee is the distinguished composer of a rare and masterful adaptation of Handel’s Messiah for traditional Korean instruments — an extraordinary work recognized as the only Traditional Korean complete adaptation in existence worldwide
Kyung Hee Park
Violinist
- Graduated with highest honors from Yonsei University, the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Austria), and the Innsbruck Municipal Conservatory
- Invited solo recital at Carnegie Hall (USA)
- Served as Steering Committee Member of the Ulsan Municipal Arts Group (South Korea)
- Former Concertmaster of the Ulsan Philharmonic Orchestra and the Changwon Philharmonic Orchestra (South Korea)
- Recipient of the Busan Music Award, Busan Arts Council Merit Award, and State Merit Award from the State of New Jersey (USA)
- Adjunct Professor at the University of Ulsan (South Korea)
- Music Director of Ensemble WE and Musica Viva Ensemble
Seo Eun Jeong
Cellist
- Graduated from Hanyang University College of Music and Graduate School (South Korea)
- Graduated from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University (USA)
- Soloist with the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra
- Performed at the 2017 and 2018 Busan Maru International Music Festival
- Performed at the 2019 Busan Cultural Center Chamber Festival
- Former Principal Cellist of the Masan Philharmonic Orchestra
- Currently the Principal Cellist of the World Bridge Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, Principal Cellist of the Neo Philharmonic Orchestra, and Adjunct Professor at Busan Arts High School and Busan National University
Jong Gwan Park
Oboist & English Hornist
- Completed Graduate School at Dong-A University (South Korea) and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music (Poland)
- Former Oboist of the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra for 40 years
- Adjunct Professor at Kosin University (South Korea)
- Lecturer at Kyungsung University Graduate School
- Leader of the GOOD TV Ensemble
- Featured as oboe soloist in three recitals
- Currently, he is the CEO of Dasong
Nam Soon Kim
Gayageum (Traditional Korean Instrument)
- Professor, Department of Korean Music, College of Arts, Busan National University (South Korea)
- Chairman of the Kim Byung-ho Style Gayageum Sanjo Research Association
- Founding Music Director of the Gimhae City Gayageum Ensemble
- Winner of the KBS Gugak (Korean Traditional Music) Awards — String Instrument Category
- Recipient of the 17th Bongsaeng Culture Award — Performance Division
- Recipient of the 12th KNN Culture Awards — Cultural Arts Award
- Recipient of the Busan Arts Award from the Busan Women’s Association (2016)
Eun Hee Park
Haegeum (Traditional Korean Instrument)
- Graduated from the Department of Korean Traditional Music and completed graduate studies at the College of Music, Busan National University (South Korea)
- Currently serves as the principal musician of the FEBC Fusion Orchestra (South Korea)
Jeong Hee Kim
Pianist
- Completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies in the Department of Instrumental Music at the College of Music, Busan National University (South Korea)
- Currently serves as the organist at Bujeon Church (South Korea) where she contributes to worship services and special musical programs with her organ playing
